Unlocking Healing: A Journey into Trauma-Informed Yoga

Embarking on a journey of trauma-informed yoga teaching has been a transformative experience, one that’s both enriching and essential for my practice. While the hefty price tag of traditional courses might have been prohibitive, I’ve found a more accessible path that aligns perfectly with my budget and goals.

Trauma-informed yoga isn’t just about the poses; it’s about creating a safe and supportive environment where individuals can explore their bodies and minds without fear or judgment. It’s about understanding the complex interplay between past experiences and present sensations and guiding students toward healing and empowerment.

As I delve deeper into this training, I’m thrilled to be under the mentorship of Carrie-Anne Fields, the visionary founder of “My Health Yoga.” Her expertise and guidance have been invaluable throughout my journey, from my initial certification in level 1&2 yoga and yin yoga to my current focus on trauma and depression TT.

But what exactly is trauma-informed yoga? It’s a practice rooted in empathy, compassion, and understanding, designed to meet the unique needs of individuals who have experienced trauma. It involves creating a nurturing space, offering choices and modifications, and empowering students to reclaim their bodies and their stories.

In a world where mental health awareness is more important than ever, trauma-informed yoga offers a holistic approach to healing and resilience. By incorporating mindfulness, breathwork, and gentle movement, it provides a pathway toward healing that honors the individual’s journey.

As I continue on this path, I’m committed to sharing the true essence of trauma-informed yoga with my community. Through education, advocacy, and authentic practice, I hope to make yoga a more inclusive and healing space for all.

Join me on this journey of growth, healing, and transformation. Together, we can create a world where yoga is not just a practice, but a pathway to healing and empowerment for all.
