When discussing yoga types for releasing fear we have to look at fear in an energy sense.
Fear depletes our energy so if we quantify Fear – Energy = Qi(Chi) depletion.
So to restore and remove fear we need to increase our Qi levels back up.
So what is fear?
Limiting beliefs consuming you, have you ever had a fear so great that consumes your every essence?
Fear is part of our world, our lives, and every aspect of our humanity, it is a natural emotion and can have some positive attributes for everyone. When that fear becomes all-consuming, all-encompassing it starts to become unproductive for our minds, bodies, and emotional well-being.
Fear is a part of us, and helps protect us in moments of need, but when that fear stops us from doing, or achieving and starts to limit our beliefs and abilities it has to be taken in check and reworked to achieve balance.
Fear can become blown out of proportion and sometimes our bodies start to rely on this for the release, of adrenalin and the stress hormone (cortisol) to make us feel great and alive
Fear can be healthy or unhealthy, but instead of going deep into this, I will let you determine what you feel your fear is to you and dive into the yoga section to help balance the fear inside.
So, what is the best yoga to restore Qi and reduce fears?
All yoga can be utilized for reducing fears if the correct poses are done daily, however, Yin Yoga as an overall system is the best for the reduction of fear and the replacement of our Qi energy.
I will include a Yin yoga sequence in which you can look up the poses and incorporate them into your life, but for those who don’t do Yin yoga, I will also list poses that are in the other styles of yoga that can help.
All poses that open the heart up creating the connection of courage are recommended for fear-based re-education.
When you move into each and every pose, take them by the hand, greet them as you would a friend in need, and be gentle, embracing, and relaxed.
Relax into your body, embrace your overall well-being and health, and trust in the quietness of each pose.

Take these moments to breathe deeply into the poses, right down into the belly, as you exhale, focus on the tension, and release it… repeat this over and over and watch how your body starts to respond.
Roundup on fear!
Fear is a purposeful emotion in the body and should be nurtured as all other emotions need to be. As with all emotions though, when they become all-encompassing and controlling we suffer from limiting beliefs.
This is where we need to preschool, rehome, and nurture our emotions to help balance them and our Qi so that our lives can become happier and healthier emotionally, physically and spiritually.
Happy yoga everyone, that is it from the Mat this month…
xx
