It was that time of year again, the King’s Birthday sports carnival with 150+ kids.
As always it was an amazing day, filled with support, competition, and sportsmanship.
This year a couple of other amazing girls helped me with the photography, both girls are/were homeschooled and were amazing with the skills they showed in their photographic application.
Throughout the day I saw children supporting each other, running beside, restarting a race because someone fell and all in all just being there for kids they haven’t seen in 12 months.
These kids, and remember I said that there were over 150 kids, cheered everyone on even on opposing teams, clapped and supported, while the parents chatted, organized, and encouraged those that felt sad to have a go.
Every single person was a good sport, even the most competitive of us all was sharing the love and support to everyone else.
Now that I have shared the amazing love, here is the low down of events.
- Athletics races – 50, 100, and 400 meters for ages 2-19-year-old boys and girls
- Javelin
- Discuss
- Shotput
- Long Jump
- Sack Race
- Tug-O-War
- Relay
Each of these where broken into age groups for each event and cycled through, throughout the day.
There were three teams, Red, Green, and Blue with Blue taking home the cup this year.
The photography side for the three of us focused on ACTION shots and as you can see by the photos in the gallery we were pretty successful on this front.
Well, that is the sports carnival roundup for 2023, already the kids are excitedly waiting for the 2024 sports carnival with the Clarence Valley Homeschoolers.

Enjoy the pictures and roundup, for those that went all pictures will be uploaded very soon to the website for you to choose from.
Have a great year and see you for the next carnival 🙂
