I may not have grown up in an ashram, or had physically active parents, but what i did have was fun and for me that looked like this….
Running, competing all over NSW as a relay runner, 50 meters, 100 meters and 400 meters sprinter and training for the commonwealth games in 2018.
Yoga, I did that from young, not brilliantly because I wanted to float, but I stretched and started my life long goal to do “monkey pose” before every decade past (laziness gets in the road of this big goal)
Dance, again I wasn’t a great dancer but I had a blast rocking out to whatever songs I put on, and as for Zumba, well let’s just say that my bottom half or my top half work amazing solo as a team I was very much the uncoordinated monkey.
Fitness instructor, kettlebells group, aerobics, again just so much fun before becoming a personal trainer and helping others with their fitness goals..
Yoga, I still do this and also still attempt zumba and play around with kettlebells, but yoga is my go to.
Okay, so now that the history lesson from age 10-age 2023 has been itemised (I think)…. we can get on with the fun bits and what I feel is fun ways to exercise.

MUSIC, MUSIC, MUSIC……!!!
Most fun way to do ANY exercise is MUSIC… it has such an emotional feel and creates whatever atmosphere you are going for.
Bubbly, serious, mediative, bouncy, fun… you name it there is music for EVERYTHING to get you off your butt and into a great mood..
I dance around ALL the time whether in the kitchen while cooking, sweeping, gardening anything really…MUSIC..
Now, when I say music for what I do the “YOGA” side of life is really just Cruze, I just enjoy the sound in the background and float from one pose to the other.
Not being very rhythmic, I try to just have fun with “ZUMBA” and “KETTLEBELLS” I can honestly say the music is just theatre because I can’t coordinate moves to the music..
Crazy as the above sounds, you can put any music on and I can keep a beat like a demon…. until I HAVE to and then ……
So what is the best way to have fun while exercise… is just be free and move to whatever music rocks your boat…
Have a blast everyone….
