Quick, Simple & Fun cooking for the whole family.

When you homeschool children and part of their learning in math, history, science, and geography you really need to step outside the status quo to find solutions for a group, yet satisfying lesson.

For us, those lessons started us filming and uploading shorts to our little mystery channel @invisiblespice. Just a bit of fun while we learned and it also has been helping us keep a log of our educational needs for the department later on when renewal is needed.

So how and what do we do???

What a great question!!..

Simple really,

  1. We decide on a country, covering the geography side of the curriculum.
  2. Next, we find out some foods that the country has traditional – Covered history of food..
  3. Measure out all our ingredients- The math portion of the curriculum.
  4. Cut, chop, mix, combine, boil, bake- you get it, that is the science side of the curriculum…

That’s it really, simple, yes, but this works and the kids get to learn how to cook, add flavors, and have fun in the kitchen.

They learn how to be hygienic, clean everything, and learn about germs if things aren’t cleaned correctly is another science lesson, and learn how everything in its place makes life simple and more enjoyable.

Didn’t we have a “YOUTUBE” Channel before??

Yes, we do still have that @organichippyfamily, we upload things that are to do with travel, and some old yoga videos are on there and off-grid life.

We aren’t the type that is super tech with our videos we just take pictures and videos on the phone as we do our thing and jam them all together with music for self-amusement.

Now if this makes others laugh, cook, and have fun then that is AMAZING.

If no one watches it and we remain with our 3 subscribers that’s cool too, but hey, I make a new one each week and have decided for myself as much as for others to create this page to share some of the recipes we cook along the way…

If you have a favorite thing you would LOVE to see cooked, try me, I will give it a go, fail or swim I am happy to share..

For now, have an awesome time cooking with kids in the kitchen and enjoy our little reels and pictures of our processes…

Happy Cooking….

The set of pictures is from the two youngest in the house cooking chocolate and cranberry blondies…
