The title says it all, I started trading last year as a beginner and have now been doing it regularly so that I can get an income for traveling.
As a stay-at-home mother that homeschools four children and lives in a rurally isolated area, how was I supposed to work and get extra income for the kids growing needs without getting a job?
Well, I had three options one, was to either start doing markets again and selling our honey which was 7hrs round trips a week, the second was to get a job for a couple of days a week which was 3hrs everyday traveling, or to start trading online.
Trading online was by far the scariest option, however the most practical for our life. So onto the good old google, I jumped and started to research beginner trading.
I went through many sites with many options but nearly all pointed to the easiest way for beginners was to try the Sharesies app — so I did…
I have spent nearly 9 months on that app learning the ins and outs of the basic trading options that are around, all the language that is used, and the various stock markets out there to utilize, and found that after some initial shakes I was doing rather well.
Just this year and only a few weeks ago on the 8th of February I decided to move to a more advanced trading platform to try my skills at something new… crypto..
I moved across to eToro and with excitement quickly grabbed some cryptocurrencies and put my $10 on each… opposite, was brought high, didn’t check the graphs, and down my $10 plummeted.
Fast forward to the 17th of February and crypto is turning around according to all sources I am in for a ride so don’t cash out…
Learning quickly on this platform I intend to get a gentle income that will help our family to enjoy those trips and overnight camps that we enjoy, and make a good enough income to allow my husband to enjoy more family time.
So in a society of scams and people telling us to test this and invest that, to join an MLM or purchase and resell these things how do we sort through it all so we feel like we have made a decision that suits our way of life.
Well, research, that is exactly what I did and then try with a minimal investment like on an app like Sharesies where you can control what you do and how far you go. I started with $100 and worked up from there.
