Let’s go fishing, I’m on a mission!!! Mo Tackle – Coffs Harbour Review…

In the car and on the road, yes we are off on another wild trail but to get there we have to head down the Pacific coast of NSW.

We planned this trip for the kids to enjoy some time with other distance education kids for a week and the forecast for the week is rain, rain, and more rain.

Knowing that it is supposed to rain all week we have left the fishing gear at home because let’s face it who in their right mind would leave the kids outside in pouring rain fishing.

All that said, it is sunny and has been the whole time we have been on the road. This isn’t like the weather man to get it wrong, is it?

Coffs Harbour NSW is the next town that we are hitting on the way down to our particular spot and as it is Monday we remember that Mo Tackle would be open and we need fishing gear.

Mo Tackle is a seriously epic shop that carries on one side all your camping needs and on the other side is all your fishing needs making it a shop that I could get my teeth into with the kids and Stuart.

Firstly, we hit the camping gear, grab another toaster for the camp stove, and a couple more hiking/fishing shirts, okay, so I didn’t need them, but as we are going fishing I explained to Stuart that I needed fishing shirts as the others are for hiking. I am sure he went along with it because his fishing gear was going to cost more.

Kids checked out the bucks for camping, toilets, and chairs, we grabbed the four sleeping bags we needed and headed to counter one before hitting the other side where the fishing gear was.

Into the fishing section, we trek, hiking books are on, shopping from the camping side in hand and fingers itching to touch EVERYTHING.

We checked out the drones that could apparently go fishing, the sports fishing section, and grabbed a couple of hand reels, sinkers, swivels, and bait.

On the way out and sending Stuart first I spied a NICE set of fishing knives. I know he has plenty but these were really nice and we didn’t have ours with us.

Yep, that is the screen-shared picture right there. He was pretty happy as was I with the rod and reel combo I got for a reasonable price.

My usual rig is a Shimano ugly stick with a Penn reel, and Stuart has various ones that he uses, but as we don’t have them I grabbed a Shimano rod and reel selection, and with the hand reels and tackle box sorted we were ready to head out.

Our weeklong adventure started slow and full of fishing doubts and after speaking to the very knowledgable and polite fellas a Mo Tackle in Coffs Harbour we were ready to fish and our spirits light.

The whole week It was the best weather on the Nambucca river with us all landing various fish to tell stories about. The Rod and reel combo landed plenty and Rubin on the hand reel was unstoppable.

I have to say thanks to the guys at Mo Tackle for helping lighten our pockets and brighten our hearts with all our fishing and camping needs.

Cheers from the Organic Hippy Family fellas.

As far as stores go for quality, service, and variety these guys get 10/10 ⭐️ stars from us.

Would we head there again.. you bet, they have so much more than we need and we need much more than we think so we’ll be back.
